Qualifications & Life Skills

Functional Maths
Functional Maths is different to GCSE Maths as it focuses on learning skills that can be transferred into everyday situations. It is not taught through a strict curriculum and you learn subjects in Functional Maths that you will need to use in the future.
Functional English
Functional English is based around reading, writing, speaking and listening. It is focused on skills that are transferable for use in college or employment in the future. All the areas that you will cover will help you improve vital communication skills needed for adult life.
Personal Development
Our active way of learning puts fun into sessions that can also inspire friendships and new interests. Through a variety of activities including gym sessions, visits to local towns and cities as well as getting involved in our very own furniture restoration workshop, these sessions are open to all our learners.
What Our One-To-One Sessions Can Include
Our one-to-one sessions with our learners can vary and can be adapted to the individual. We have a variety of opportunities available to meet your interests whether that's a game of pool, opening a bank account, going for a coffee or an ice cream, making friends or discovering new interests.
We’ve received £90,000 of Children in Need funding as core funding for three years, helping us with our work with young people aged 15-years to 18-years. We were proud to feature in their television appeal in 2023 with Grace's story.
