Scalby Charity Walk 2026

 

 

IIt's now a traditional way to spend Easter Monday which this year falls on Monday 6th April (2026)! 

 

2026's event will be the 65th Scalby Charity Walk.  

 

COmpetitive walkers begin at 10am, there is a fancy dress parade at 10:10am and the fun walkers can start anytime between 10:30am and 11am from the Plough Inn, Scalby.

The walk follows a 6-mile walk-only route to Cloughton, calling at four local pubs: Three Jolly Sailors, Burniston; The Red Lion, Cloughton: The Blacksmiths Amrs, Cloughton, and the Oak Wheel, Burniston.  

 

Drink half a pint of beer (or a soft drink) at each and then head back to the start line. 

 

Whether you are a serious walker you prefer a more sedate pace in fancy dress, you are welcome to join in the fun. Dogs are welcome. 

 

It's a great day out for everyone, and there are prizes for best fancy dress.  

 

The event raises funds for Futureworks NY, along with Newby and Scalby Library Infomration Centre and Scarborough Mates.

Online registration closes at 5pm on Sunday 5th April 2026 (£15 per adult, £5 for juniors) or you can register on the day at the Plough, Scalby from 8.45am (£17.00 on the day, £5 for juniors).
