The Rotary Club of Scarborough's nominated charity this year is FutureWorks North Yorkshire, based in Scarborough.
Here at Futureworks NY our mission is to provide support and guidance to vulnerable and disengaged individuals; young people, providing holistic support as well as opportunities to develop experience, life skills and accredited qualifications.
We also work with economically inactive adults with the aim of moving them closer to employment, increasing social skills and reducing feelings of isolation for our local community in Scarborough.
We encourage all our clients to fulfil their potential through engagement, motivation, and support via alternative learning structures.
The team are passionate about helping and supporting young people and adults in our local community in Scarborough to believe and achieve their full potential.
Providing clients enhanced level of support, advice and guidance to improve their life skills, wellbeing and social inclusion with opportunities to achieve qualifications and support them into employment, college or apprenticeships.
Currently running numerous projects via grant funding and contracts to provide an array of services to meet local needs. To enable the sustainability of Futureworks we are exploring avenues of fundraising, corporate sponsorships and attracting donations, including maximising the revenue stream potential of Furniture Works.
We are delighted the Rotary Club of Scarborough has nominated us as their charity for 2026.
