Learner Costs.
It costs £5,000 per year to provide one young person with information, advice & guidance, access to functional maths and English qualifications via alternative teaching. An individual place sponsorship will give a young person a brighter future.
What it Costs.
£5,000 for 12 learners’ travel expenses for a year
£10,000 to cover annual activities and trips
£26,000 to provide key worker support for 30 young people for 12 months
What We Need.
Thanks to the incredible support of The Clothworkers' Foundation, our classroom and workspaces have had a full transformation. New windows, new doors, new heating and a fresh, welcoming feel throughout. As part of the refurb we also installed a new kitchen area so we can begin basic cooking skills.
These upgrades mean a brighter, warmer and more vibrant environment for every client who walks through our doors, a place where our learners can feel comfortable, supported and ready to thrive.
What we need now is support from the community to keep these programmes running, this can be monetary donations, quality furniture donations, fundraising or corporate support.
Our Vision.
"We aim to become more self-sustainable by generating income from our fundraising activities, because increasing the amount of freedom funding we raise will mean that we are less reliant on tied funding and contracts, enabling us to be more responsive to our learners' immediate individual needs.
By our 15th anniversary in 2027 we aim to be in a bigger building, ideally self-owned by Futureworks NY in order to continue being a flexible organisation. We will remain organic in our direction so that we can adapt to the ever changing needs of our local community in Scarborough and increase the number of learners we support by 40%."
